The big QR sites paywall things that should be free, redirect through their infrastructure without telling you, gate downloads behind credit cards, and rack up 1.5-star reviews. The tools you actually want — pretty codes, scan analytics, an honest API — are bundled into $20/mo subscriptions that auto-renew aggressively. inQRable is the version we'd want to use.

Where we're hosted

A single Ubuntu VM behind Cloudflare. Edge-to-origin TLS is strict, no public SSH (Zero Trust tunnel only), automated dependency upgrades, Sentry error tracking, PostHog consented analytics. Source code is private but the infrastructure choices are documented in our public security policy at /security.

Roadmap

v1 ships with the basic + stylized + dynamic flow + a public API. v1.5 adds AI QR Art and random/distorted module styles. v2 adds print-on-demand stickers and merch via Printful, plus a hosted-file feature so "here's a QR for my PDF menu" works the way people actually want.
